APSEA’s Workforce Equity Symposium, “50 Years Forward: Advancing Equity, Empowering Change,” aligns with the skills outlined in the California Leadership Academy Statewide Leadership Development Model and all hours spent in attendance should count towards the 20 hours of Continual Leadership Training and Development required biennially, as established by Government Code § 19995.4. Hours should be tracked and applied by the attendee’s employer at their discretion.

- CalHR delegates the continual leadership training and development biennial requirement to each department.
- Continual leadership training and development taken towards completion of the required 20 hours shall focus on improving or expanding leadership skills and align with The California Leadership Academy Statewide Leadership Development Model (“the Model”)
