The State of Belonging: Workforce Equity Symposium is a dynamic, statewide convening designed to bring together California state employees, executive leaders, policymakers, and partners from across departments and classifications. Over two days of intentional dialogue and collaborative learning, participants will explore what it truly means to foster belonging within public service and how that commitment strengthens the workforce that serves all Californians.
This symposium goes beyond theory. It creates space for meaningful conversations that connect policy, lived experience, and practical implementation. Through engaging keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking panel discussions, attendees will examine the systems, leadership practices, and cultural shifts necessary to build workplaces rooted in equity, accountability, and inclusion.
